About the destination: Seychelles, officially the Republic of Seychelles, is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean. The 115-island country, whose capital is Victoria, at east of mainland Southeast Africa. Other nearby island countries and territories include Comoros, Mayotte,Madagascar, Réunion, and Mauritius to the south. The warm Indian Ocean waters make Seychelles the perfect place for the water enthusiasts. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Beaches. About the destination: The island of North, in Seychelles is a small island of granite origin, of 2.01 km², 5 km north of Silhouette. In 2003, 11 guest houses were built as a tourist resource. North was one of the first known Seychelles islands. An expedition in 1609 by Alexander Sharpeigh of the British East India Company reported that the island had a large population of giant land tortoises. From 1826 to the 1970s, the island belonged to the Beaufond family of Reunion. During this time the island was a plantation of fruits and spices. It also produced guano, fish oil, and copra. When the plantation was sold in the 1970s, the island fell into disuse, spreading wild animals and foreign weeds. Lately the native species of flora and fauna of Seychelles are being reintroduced and alien species being removed to return the island to its primitive state.

About the destination: The island Praslin is the second in size of Seychelles. With a population that round up about 6,500 inhabitants. Praslin is known as a tourist destination of Sun and beach. Although the island is also a tropical forest with some endemic as Bulbul bird and the black Parrot animals, all of them are in the beautiful Valle de Mai nature reserve.
